Kim Delaney is an American actor who is most well-known as the character the role of Detective Diane Russell in ABCs series NYPD Blue for which she won the Emmy Award. She has also starred in series like All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives and CSI: Miami. Delaney was the child of an executive at the United Auto Workers who was also a mother. Delaney has four older brothers. As a child she longed to be a court reporter. However, after graduating from high school and relocating into New York in the 1980s and began to model, she was hooked. Her first job acting was when she was a young, innocent girl in the show All My Children. Delaney was a talented young actress from the 1980s has appeared in a variety of TV films and dramas. In contrast to her career success, her personal life is not content and successful. She is talented and gorgeous, has struggled with drinking in the past. The marriages she has had ended in failure two times. The year 2005 was the time she was denied custody of the only child that she had.
