Louisa Krause was born in New York City. She was Anna Garner the leading role in The Girl Experience. She performed her first film part in the Babysitters when she was Brenda Woodberg. Krause initially studied drama as an undergraduate student, before appearing in Broadway and off Broadway shows. Professionally, her father is of half-Japanese origin and her mother is American. Nathaniel's younger brother Nathaniel is a film director. The passion for arts and culture began at an early time when she took dance classes at Washington School of Ballet, Washington D.C. She then moved on to perform in various musicals as well as plays written by Bill Russell and Henry Krieger as well as Side Show. Following high school, Krause enrolled at the Carnegie Mellon Drama School. Shortly after Krause decided that she was prepared to start her acting career professionally. Her Equity card through her performance in a musical-based production of Aida. Louisa Krause's career began in theatre. She began her career in the year 2006 with the Huntington Theatre Company. She was Iphigenia as part of the Signature Theatre Company's Iphigenia 2 from 2007.
